Prism 1-Year Virtual CD ~ The Prism Daily

As you are no doubt aware, bank CD’s currently pay under 1% to hold your money for an entire year. It’s true, and please, no snickering. It’s not funny; in fact, it’s very sad. Even depressing. Which doesn’t help when you’re in a Depression already.

Being the competitive types that we are, we just couldn’t let this go unchallenged. By golly, we were to going to prove to the world that we could do this too. So we we opened a $200,000 research account and,  to prove the tune-ability of our software, set it to produce 1% per year. Yes, Dear Reader, not per month, per year. And that’s not easy to do.

Imagine taking a AAA nitromethane fuel dragster capable of attaining 330 mph in 3.8 seconds from a standing start, disabling all but 1st gear, dragging some concrete highway lane separators behind it, throwing water in the gasoline, disconnecting a couple of spark plugs and sill trying not to accidentally pass everything in sight. That’s what it took to get our software to produce just 1% per year.

From Alphaville we read:

10-Year U.S. Treasuries Lowest Since 1790
“Core long-dated bond yields have hit their all time lows in 2012. In Holland (our longest time series), 10 year yields hit their lowest level in 495 years worth of history back in June this year… The most important global benchmark – 10 year US Treasuries – also hit its all time low (1.39%) in July, with data going back all the way to 1790… 2 year yields have been negative (or close to zero) in several core countries this year which has never been seen on such a global co-ordinated basis before.”

“All time lows.” Jeepers. How can anyone live on this? It takes forevvvvvvvvvver to get anywhere. As for us, all we have to do is take the water out of the gas and we’re going 3% a month. Cut loose those cinder blocks and we’re up to 6% a month. Shift up a few gears and we’re leaving rubber and getting… oops, can’t say. That’s for our private members only. Interested? We’d be happy to tell you, but you have to ask.
